BUCKY SKULL WITH BLINKING LED EYES
Difficulty Rating:
This is a very EASY project to put together. See the materials list and instructions...
Materials & Tools:
- Spooky Fire - Spooky Blue put together an awesome tutorial on building these little switched
blinking LED light bundles. See his page via the link here to build one of these. Below are direct links to the parts needed.
- Hot Glue Gun
- Drill and small bit
- 4th Class Bucky Skull from Anatomical.com. Get one with a removable cranium!
HOW-TO
First, put together a Spooky Fire bundle with 2 LED's by following Spooky Blue's tutorial here.
Second, get your Bucky skull, and drill two holes in the back of the eyes big enough for the LED's to fit through from inside. Start small and work your way up... if you make it too big, not to worry, because you can always get them to stay put with hot glue.
Next, open up the skull, and put the Spooky Fire bundle in, and push the LEDs through the holes you drilled in the eye sockets.
Then, warm up and throw a load of hot glue around them from the inside of the skull, and let dry until they are in place.
Then, flip the switch on, and pop the cranium back in place, and you are all set!
